The winter holiday season is an exciting and joyful time of year. For some, the season begins as early as October or November when shopping for gifts, writing cards, and decorating one’s home are at the top of the “to-do” list. While many people plan to get started early, most Canadians don’t quite get into the spirit of the holidays until the end of November or early December. Around this time, radio stations will begin playing holiday music, stores will promote holiday sales, and invitations to holiday events and parties will start filling the calendar. For students, the holiday season is extra special. It means final exams are over and we finally get to take break from university life. Some students take the opportunity to travel, while others enjoy staying in town to relax and re-charge before second semester.

This week, IESC’s amazing blog volunteers have compiled some useful information to help guide you through this busy season in London. Use this list to take a break from studying and review it again later when you need ideas for what to do during the break!

We hope that you take some time to get involved on campus and in the city and enjoy this magical time of year!
