International Week at Western kicks off today and it brings many opportunities for everyone to experience events exploring various cultures and celebrating the diversity on campus and the city of London. The week-long affair will run from November 13-17th, with departments across campus organizing a host of events focussing on international diversity and awareness. Don’t miss the chance to spend time learning about opportunities for international students, faculty/staff and alumni as well as trying out new food, music, film and attending other cultural showcases across campus and in residence. Some other events include academic workshops, keynote speeches, trivia and many more. Get the whole schedule for the week here: http://www.internationalweek.uwo.ca/schedule.html and don’t forget to mark your calendars with events that interest you.

You will also get a chance to participate in the passport contest that is held every year and gives you the opportunity to win a $500 scholarship (to be used for an international learning opportunity). The passport can be picked up from The Western International Office, residence dining halls as well as the International Week booth in the UCC Atrium. More information about the contest can be found here http://www.internationalweek.uwo.ca/passport.html
